Freeze-Dried vs Dehydrated

Not all dried fruit is built the same.

Traditional dehydration uses heat. Freeze-drying uses cold and vacuum. Twelve measurable differences — and why each one matters for your brand.

Frequently Asked

Questions from our global buyers.

What is freeze-dried fruit?

Freeze-drying (lyophilisation) removes water from fresh fruit at low temperatures under vacuum. Colour, nutrients and flavour are locked in while the fruit becomes lightweight, crunchy and shelf-stable for up to 24 months.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. icefruz exports to 30+ countries across North America, Europe, the Middle East, ASEAN and Oceania. We handle FOB, CIF and DDP shipments from Indian ports (Mumbai, Mundra, JNPT).

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Bulk MOQ starts at 100 kg per SKU for standard packaging. Private-label MOQs typically start at 500 kg. Retail-pack MOQs vary by format — contact us for a specific quote.

Do you offer private label?

Yes — full private-label service including custom pouch/can design, regulatory labelling for your target market, and contract manufacturing under your brand.

What certifications do you hold?

FSSAI, APEDA, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, HALAL and KOSHER. USDA Organic and EU Organic certifications are available on select SKUs.

How long do your products last?

Sealed pouches and cans are stable for 18–24 months depending on the fruit, stored at ambient temperature away from moisture and direct sunlight.
